Horse Drawn Ice Wagons

I'm building this page with catalog reference as the main focus. This is due to how Toymakers listed their offerings in the catalogs. There were many Ice wagons offered with single pictures displayed for multiple offerings. I will then post actual examples as i verfiy them to be correct.

Featured Listing

No Catalog reference found.  Also came with yellow wheels.  Approximately 16. 5 inches. 

Examples possibly  came with a driver, rider on the rear , Ice tongs, Hammer and Ice Cubes.

Jones  & Bixler

A common trait of many of the J&B Ice wagons seems to be yellow bodies, red accents and aluminum horses. Notice the style of the horse which is very hubley like. This may have been copied or influenced by or from the time Louis Bixler spent working at hubley in 1908.
